I joined Saatchi & Saatchi in the heart of downtown Shanghai, China as an Account Executive. Immediately placed on three significant accounts — one of which was halfway through a multi-round pitch against key competitors — I supported the creative and pitch process by fully translating concepts, copy, and decks from Chinese to English. With careful consideration given to differences in culture, linguistics, and backgrounds, I additionally aided in the creation of print and digital assets for mass distribution by acting as a liaison between the Accounts, Creative, and clients.
I translated slide decks, creative scripts, and briefings from Chinese to English, often adhering to the tight turnaround schedules of the final rounds of this winning pitch. Not only did I have to keep in mind cultural backgrounds and context, but also linguistic limitations and patterns. At times, I was brought in for real-time translation between Chinese and English.

The World Golf Championships – HSBC Champions is one of the most elite golf tournaments in the world boasting a prize fund of US$10.25 million. I was involved in translating and reviewing copy for the 2016 tournament’s online promotional efforts, as well as for its event marketing campaigns.
